New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has directed Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung not to issue fresh admission guidelines. The Delhi court wants the Governor to wait till it takes a final call. This decision has left hundreds of parents in perplexity.
Many schools that had approached the court to get this ruling passed soon have termed it as a necessary delay. "It is better that L-G gives guideline after final orders," Springdales Principal, Amita Mulavattal told a news channel.
Unaided schools had moved to the court in 2013 after the L-G issued guidelines wiping management quota admissions.
Delays are expected in the case as the Supreme Court is yet to hear the plea to place nursery schools under ambit of the Right to Education Act.
