New Delhi, May 19: Various localities in the northwest Delhi yesterday faced long power cuts, ranging from two to five hours, due to a major technical snag in a power transmission line, officials said here.
The transmission line between Pappan-Kala and Bammauli developed a major snag at around 5 pm which resulted cut in power supplies in majority of areas in north-west Delhi, they said.
The reason of the technical snag has been rectified and it it is being repaired, the officials said.
The situation was compounded due to a major fault in a major power sub-station in Najafgarh in the evening. The technical snag affected supply of 400 watts of power in Najafgarh and nearby areas.
