Noida: Yadav Singh, who was removed from the post of Engineer-in-chief of Noida Authority and shunted to Personnel Department by the CEO, has not reported there, an official said on Thursday.
The Noida Authority CEO Rama had on Wednesday removed Singh as Engineer-in-Chief and shunted him to the Personnel Department.
Raman had also cancelled all the tenders issued by Singh. It is being said that shunting of Singh was a damage-control exercise by the Authority, following the income-tax raids on a company in which Singh's wife is a director.
After Singh did not reported to work, the department was now planning to slap a show cause notice on him for his absence without permission and then initiate his suspension process, the official said.
State government too has started to tighten noose around Singh and directed the Noida Authority Chairman to submit the details of his alleged misdeeds.
Meanwhile, Income Tax team has been searching the documents and lockers of Yadav Singh.
They were also looking into Singh's possible investment in foreign land deals or purchase of other companies share there after it came to light that he had travelled several times during 2007-08 to Thailand and other countries.
