Gorakhpur, May 24: Admitting that the party committed mistakes in the past, BJP President Nitin Gadkari today ruled out any alliance before or after Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections due next year.
"This time the party will not forge any direct or indirect alliance in UP," Gadkari said while addressing party?s Mahasangram rally here.
Claiming that people in the state were fed up with the misrule of the BSP and the SP, he said: "people do not like Congress because of corruption and inflation issues, therefore BJP is the alternative they are looking towards."
Gadkari said the party will give tickets to only those working at the grass root level. PTI
