Mumbai, Feb 11: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan while hailing the congregation of over 3 crore people at the Kumbh Mela on Sunday, expressed his grief over the stampede at the Allahabad railway station which led to the loss of 36 lives.
"Pained and sad to learn of the rush at the station in Allahabad and the deaths due to stampede .. thoughts with the families ..", tweeted Bachchan.
Reacting to questions on Twitter from his fans, Big B said, it was impossible on the part of any government to restrict pilgrims from coming. "How can you stop prayer", Big B asked.
The megastar however agreed that people need to exercise discipline at such big congregations, so that things could move smoothly.
