“First he opposed the appointment of amicus curiae in the matter and then sought permission to see status reports. In the guise of seeing status reports now he is sitting above everybody and advising CBI not to file charge sheets,” Bhushan alleged.
Sharan refuted the allegation and said “it is unfair on the part of Bhushan to make the charge and personal attacks are unnecessarily made without any facts”.
Before personal allegation was made against him, Sharan also defended presence of Galhotra in the team probing the coal block scam saying he was not involved in investigation of the case relating to Jindal and looking after other cases.
However, his contention was opposed by Bhushan, who said Galhotra was probing similarly placed cases like Jindal's and has been differing with the investigating officers (IOs) on the issue of filing charge sheets.
