Bangalore: Bangalore police have extended the deadline on nightlife till 1 am for New Year Eve celebrations on Dec 31 night.
Police commissioner Raghavendra H Auradkar issued an order to the effect on Saturday.
A copy of the notification is being sent to all the deputy commissioners of excise and the excise commissioner.
The Commissioner has said in his orders that all establishments should take precautions to ensure that no nuisance or disturbance is caused to the neighbourhood on account of music during the New Year Eve celebrations.
Owners and managers of places of entertainment need not apply for NOC (no objection certificate) individually to the police.
However, the managements of bars have been directed to obtain necessary permissions from the state excise department.
