New Delhi, Apr 28: In a gruesome act, five persons including some women, thrashed a physically challenged man 40-year-old Jasvinder Singh, a kirtani by profession, to death in Sec 16 Rohini,  on Wednesday for objecting to some youths playing cricket  at a nearby park, reports India TV reporter Manoj Gupta.

They thrashed him with cricket bats and stumps till he fell dead. The attackers even tore away his artificial  leg, neighbours said.

Police have arrested two youths Dilawar and Diler Singh, while two others are absconding. A case of murder has been registered.

Says Jasvinder's brother Jagtar Singh: " These youths were playing cricket in the park. Suddenly the ball struck Jasvinder. He asked them to stop playing, and in a fit of rage four to five of them assaulted him."

Jasvinder died while being taken to the hospital.
