Panaji: A Dornier aircraft of Indian Navy crashed last night into sea about 25 nautical miles south-west off Goa.
The incident took place at around 11 pm. The aircraft was on a routine training mission with three personnel on board.
While one personnel has been rescued, two others -- a Captain and an Observer -- are still missing.
Search and rescue operation has been launched. More than six warships and some aircraft are pressed into service.
"One survivor has been rescued. Search is on to locate two more officers including a pilot and observer," a Navy official said.
The last contact with the aircraft was reported at 10.08 pm.
