Former Andhra Pradesh Governor N D Tiwari, who quit over allegations of his involvement in a sex scandal, on Tuesday claimed his resignation is not an admission of guilt and that new technologies were made use of by a Telugu channel to combine some footages to malign him.
Tiwari said also he did not want to embarass Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi over the issue which kicked up a storm last week.
"She(Sonia) knows already I think and Manmohan Singh ji also very well known, I do not want to embarrass them," Tiwari told a news channel.
Tiwari said he was not involved in any scandal after a Telugu channel aired explicit footage of a man purported to be the former union minister with three women.
"No scandal, there is no scandal, I don't believe in any scandal but because my wife is dead that is why it is so difficult to talk to a lady, this you find in the cinematic field," he said.
He said the said the Channel "has made a combination of so many photos out of them one is mine, but that does not mean that they combine many photos and publish it in a channel. They have combined photographs using the new electronic technologies."
"In the Raj Bhavan so many delegations meet me and it is very surprising that these channels could do this type of joining of 2-3 photographs," he added. "
Asked how alleged call girls can enter Rajbhavan, he replied, "No..No call girl can enter there...No question.. there is so many security available there. There was also a mahila security guard, so I think, there is a conspiracy". PTI
