Muscat-bound Oman Air flight returned to Kerala's Kozhikode airport after it developed a technical snag on Tuesday, said Airport officials.
According to a Calicut airport official, the flight -- WY 298 -- with 169 people onboard took off from the Karipur airport at 9.15 am and returned back barely a few minutes into its journey due to a technical fault and landed safely.

"It was a normal landing. The aircraft landed safely," he told news agency PTI. The official further said that the aircraft circled the airport for more than two hours to burn fuel before it made the safe landing.
