Mumbai, Jul 8 : 40-year-old Govind Damji Tank was shot from close range with a bullet, and the bullet spread nearly 100 pellets inside his body, and yet the man is alive.
Says Dr Sunil Agrawal, who operated on Govind Damji Tank: "There were nearly 100 pellets inside his body after the bullet struck his body from 4cm distance. He should have died by now, but miraculously, the pellets to different parts of his organs, particularly his kidney, liver, large intestine and duodenum.
"70 pellets have been extracted so far, and there are nearly 30 pellets still inside. But since they are lodged inside his kidney and liver, it is difficult to extract them."Says Govind: "I am going to live. I do not feel uneasy at all."
