Mumbai: BMC receives complaints of gas leak from Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Govandi, Bhandup
Mumbaikars on Saturday evening reported an unknown odour, which sparked rumours of a gas leak. Residents from Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Govandi, Bhandup areas complained of the smell that probably came out from a gas leak. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) immediately took note of the complaint.
“MGL has been receiving complaints of gas smell from parts of Mumbai on October 17. Our emergency teams have spread out to sites from where complaints were received. We are checking our pipeline systems but have not come across any breach which could result in gas leakage." Mahanagar Gas Limited tweeted.
