Mumbai: Today is an important day for the whole nation as the special Maharashtra control Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) Court may Friday pass a verdict on 7/11 serial explosions in Mumbai's suburban trains. In the serial blasts approx. 187 people were killed and almost 824 people were injured including children and women.

Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) claims to have solved the case.

The ATS had arrested a total of 13 accused in the case and all are at present in prison. The names of the 13 accused are Faisal Shaikh, Ali Bashir Khan, Mohammad Ali, Majid Shafi, Sajid Ansari, Kamal Ansari, Ethesham Siddiqui, Zameer Shaikh, Sohail Shaikh, Muzammil Shaikh, Tanvir Ansari, Naveed Hussai and Abdul Shaikh. All of them evidently have close links with the Indian Mujahideen (IM).

 Arif Badruddin, Ansar Ahmed and Sadiq Sheikh, alleged co-founders of IM are the approvers in the case.

 
The blasts had occurred in suburban trains between Khar road-Santacruz, Bandra-Khar road, Jogeshwari-Mahim junction, Mira Road-Bhayander, Matunga-Mahim Junction and at Borivali over a period of 11 minutes. The bombs were set off in pressure cookers on trains.
