Agra: Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav will today lay the foundation stone of his son Akhilesh Yadav-headed Uttar Pradesh government's most ambitious project - the Agra-Lucknow Expressway.
The official programme will be held at his Kalidas Marg residence in Lucknow at 11 am, while in Agra, a programme has been organised at Hingot Kheria from where the Expressway will start, an official said.
Both the ceremonies will be simultaneous.
The cost of project is expected to be Rs 105 billion. The Expressway will be about 270 km in length. The 6-lane eco-friendly expressway is proposed on minimum distance and minimal agricultural land formula through Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
