New Delhi, June 12: A 17-year-old girl was raped by her neighbour here, police said yesterday. The accused has been arrested.
The incident was reported from north Delhi's Mangolpuri area Monday evening.
The accused, identified as Prahlad, 24, was arrested after victim's family approached police.
The victim, a class 9 student, was alone at her house Monday afternoon when the accused came, took her to a secluded place and raped her.
"Victim's medical report confirmed that rape after which the accused was arrested," said a police officer.
