New Delhi, Oct 25 (PTI) As part of the ongoing probe, the Home Ministry today handed over all documents related to the Rs 375-crore expenditure incurred by it for the Commonwealth Games to the Director General of Audit for a through scrutiny.
The documents have been given to a team of auditors and they will start examining the papers beginning tomorrow.
Sources said the expenditure was incurred for procuring CCTV cameras, flap barriers, metal detectors, police vehicle, arms and ammunition, which were specially purchased for the foolproof security of games village and venues.
Home Ministry officials involved in the whole process will be readily available if required for any clarification.
However, sources said, so far there was no complaint on the expenditure incurred by the Home Ministry. PTI
