New Delhi: There was perceptible nip in the air under partly overcast skies as the mercury today dived to settle below the 30 degrees Celsius-mark in the national capital.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 26.3 degrees Celsius, five notches below the season's average, while the minimum was registered at 17.5 degrees Celsius, a notch above the normal, a MeT official said.

“The skies will be partly cloudy.

Thundery developments may occur in some areas. There will be mist in the morning,” the official said, adding that the maximum and the minimum temperatures are expected to settle around 28 and 18 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The weather department has predicted that temperature will dip further in the coming days.
