New Delhi, Nov 14: Congress leader Digvijay Singh has termed as “outrageous” Mayawati's statement that his party wants to install him as UP Chief Minister, saying she is feeling “rattled” and “threatened” by it.

“I don't have a vote in UP. How can I when I am not even a voter in UP? She is now strongly rattled and feeling threatened by Congress.... Mayavati made an outrageous statement that I may (be) in the run for CM UP!,” Singh commented on the micro blogging site Twitter.

His reaction comes a day after the UP Chief Minister while addressing a ‘Brahmin Bhaichara Sammelan' in Lucknow, said she had come to know that Congress and BJP had planned to install Digvijay Singh and Rajnath Singh respectively as Chief Ministers in the event of these parties forming the government in the key state.

Mayawati had said she apprehended that with her making their plan public, these two parties might project some Brahmin as the Chief Minister.

“If Brahmins get misguided by such designs they will not achieve much as feudal power will once again exploit innocent people,” she had said.

Singh, who is the AICC in-charge for Uttar Pradesh, also said that Congress will hold rallies in each assembly segment of the state for the next two months beginning with Rahul Gandhi's rally in Phulpur, near Allahabad, today.

Phulpur is the place from where Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was elected in the first Lok Sabha polls.

The Congress will also come out a charge sheet on the issue of corruption against BSP government, which will be submitted to the Uttar Pradesh Governor after a ‘maha' rally of the party in Lucknow sometime in January-February, said Singh, who is a Congress general secretary, said.
