Aurangabad, Oct 9: In a day of high drama, Maoists today kidnapped RJD MLA Mohammad Nehaluddin, his bodyguard and 12 others after torching his vehicle in this
Bihar district but released them a few hours later.Over 100 Maoists surrounded the vehicle of Nehaluddin, who is seeking another term from Rafiganj, and took him hostage when he was campaigning at Laltenganj village, SP Vivek Raj Singh told PTI.
They damaged and torched his vehicle and took him away, he said.
A few hours later, the ultras left them at a place in the forests from where Nehaluddin, along with others, walked down to Laltenganj village, the spot where from they were kidnapped, Singh said.
The Maoists have given a call for boycott of the assembly elections in Bihar.
The Rafiganj Assembly constituency will go to poll in the final phase on November 20. PTI
