PM Modi addressed year's last 'Mann Ki Baat' today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation through his radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat' today. The was the 72nd edition of the prime minister's monthly radio programme. It was also the last Mann Ki Baat of the year 2020. In a tweet on Saturday, the prime minister said Akashvani will broadcast the programme in regional languages immediately after the Hindi broadcast on All India Radio, DD and Narendra Modi mobile app.
Addressing his radio programme, the prime minister said, "When I look at India's youth, I feel elated and reassured."
"I feel so because my country's youth has 'Can Do' approach and the spirit of 'Will Do'. No challenge is too big for them. Nothing is beyond their reach," Modi said.
Remembering Guru Govind Singh Ji, the prime minister said, "On this day, Guru Govind Singh Ji's mother Mata Gujri Ji embraced martyrdom."
"About a week back was the day of martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. I had the privilege to pay my obeisance to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji at Gurudwara Rakab Ganj in Delhi," he said.
The prime minister also said India has seen a rise in population of lions, tigers as well as a significant increase in forest cover.
"Main reason is that not only govt but several other people, civil societies and other organisations are contributing towards forest and wildlife conversation," Prime Minister Modi said.
Earlier on Friday, Prime Minister Modi had also sought people's views on the year 2020, seen as one of the most disruptive in recent history due to the COVID-19 outbreak, and also what they looked forward to in the next year, ahead of his 'Mann ki Baat' broadcast today.

In the 71st edition of his monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat', PM Modi had emphasised on strong, vibrant and active alumni network, and urged educational institutions to adopt innovative methods and develop creative platforms for engagement with alumni.
The Prime Minister said that a strong vibrant and active alumni network is needed not only in big Colleges and Universities but also in schools of our villages.
"Mann ki Baat" is the Prime Minister's monthly radio programme to the nation, which is broadcasted on the last Sunday of every month.
