Mumbai: A man fired from his pistol inside a local train on Central Railway at Nahur station, 28 km from CST, on Friday evening after a quarrel over seats.
Twenty-five-year-old Tabrez Jethwa, who was going from Bandra to Mumbra on the CST-Ambernath local, was hit by bullets. He is presently in Sion Hospital.
Kurla GRP police inspector Santosh Dhanvate said, the quarrel ensued between four persons over a seat inside the local train. One of them fired two rounds at Tabrez.
The assailant escaped in the melee.
