Hyderabad, Aug 12: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who is quite active on social media platforms, today asked Andhra Pradesh BJP leaders to make the best of this powerful medium to reach out to people.
Modi told party office-bearers that social media helps in communicating with a large section of people, especially the youth, BJP sources said.
Modi interacted with the state BJP functionaries before concluding his day-long visit to Hyderabad. The Gujarat Chief Minister appreciated the large turnout for his public meeting here, the first since his anointment as BJP's national election campaign committee chief.
He suggested to party leaders to work at booth level and ensure that voters turn up on the polling day, they said. Modi, known for his tech-savvy image, became first Indian political leader last year to interact with netizens through live video-chat on ‘Google+ Hangout'. Earlier this year, Modi had addressed Gujarati community living in 20 cities across the US through video link.
