In yet another case of temple stampede, at least 105 people died at the Ratangarh Durga temple in Datia district of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday morning.
Witnesses and officials said more than 100 others were injured in the tragedy at the Ratangarh temple, located in a forested part of Datia district, 390 k north of the state capital and 55 km from Datia town.
Mishaps at religious places have taken a huge toll in India. Stampedes regularly occur during Kumbh Melas in Haridwar and Prayag due to improper crowd control on part of local administrations.

Most of the pilgrims died of severe internal injuries after being trampled upon by the panicked crowd.
