Mumbai, Jan 27: A 13-year-old boy succumbed to his injuries while on way to hospital on Saturday after he was dragged by a leopard some one and a half kilometer inside a jungle near Arrey colony in Mulund.
A team of forest officials during a rescue hunt found the boy in a critical condition.
The incident took place in Arrey Colony on the verge of the jungle in Adarsh Nagar area in Mulund on Saturday. The boy was outside his home when the incident took place.
On Friday locals of another nearby area had caught a leopard who had been haunting the residents for the past few weeks
The man-eater leopard was trapped in a cage on Saturday which was placed by the forest team at Arrey Colony unit no 25. The leopard had also killed a woman, and the forest team was searching for the leopard for the last 15 days.
