Mumbai: Mumbai is celebrating its Republic Day with a parade at Marine Drive after a gap of three decades.
Maharashtra Governor K Sankaranayan unfurled the tricolour near Air India building on Marine Drive. He took the salute at a marchpast of contingents comprising Army, Navy, Air Force and other forces.

Tableaux from different regions of the state were on display.
For the last three decades, R-Day parades used to be held at Shivaji Park, but today's parade was a departure from tradition.
