5. Protul Chandra Sorcar
The internationally acclaimed magician, was born in Tangail, undivided Bengal during British Raj (present day Bangladesh). His ‘Indrajaal' show was the most popular of all.
India Post issued a Rs. 5 postal stamp to honour the magician in 2010.
His son P C Sorcar Jr , also a magician, has joined the BJP.
