5. Protul Chandra Sorcar




The internationally acclaimed magician, was born in Tangail, undivided Bengal during British Raj (present day Bangladesh). His ‘Indrajaal' show was the most popular of all.

India Post  issued a Rs. 5 postal stamp to honour the magician in 2010. 

His son P C Sorcar Jr , also a magician, has joined the BJP.        

 
6. Mahashay Dharmapal Gulati




The spice entrepreneur, who became a household name due to  ‘MDH brand', was born in Sialkot, now in Pakistan, in 1919.

The journey from a small ‘Mahashian Di Hatti' to a full fledged spice business empire in India is a story legends are made of.  
 
7. Utpal Dutt





Actor, director and playwright, Utpal Dutt was a versatile artiste.
