Jammu/Sringar: Heavy snowfall disrupted life in Srinagar and most parts of Kashmir valley since Tuesday evening. People in Srinagar are confined to indoors.
Snowfall at the Jawahar tunnel linking Jammu to Srinagar has caused disruption of traffic. An 18 inch think layer of snow has covered areas around Jawahar tunnel, and it has been closed to traffic.
Patnitop witnessed one foot thick snowfall. Snowfall accompanied by intermittent rains continued on Wednesday morning, as hundreds of vehicles lined up of National Highway 1.
