New Delhi: Former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit today made it clear that the Congress party's support to the Aam Aadmi Party government was issue-based support from outside and not unconditional.
In an interview to India TV, Dikshit said: "Let me make it clear, our support is not unconditional, it is issue-based."
Asked about Kejriwal's plan to hold the swearing-in at Ramlila Maidan, Dikshit said: "It appears to be a sort of shosheybaazi (gimmick), nothing else. Of course, there have been such swearings-in in the past, let's see."
On AAP leaders using foul language against their political rivals, the former chief minister said: "I can say this much, such language is not part of a cultured political tradition. To describe somebody as dalaal (middleman), or shaatir (conman) is below the belt."
Dikshit said, from her experience she was of the firm opinion that giving huge subsidy on electric and water bills was not feasible. "Let us see, how they go about it".
On her political future, Sheila Dikshit said, it was up to the party to decide.
