Kushinagar (UP): Kushinagar district Panchayat's additional chief executive officer was slapped by a Panchayat member in the meeting of the board today.
The meeting was attended by members of the district Panchayat and other representatives. As the meeting started, a Sevrahi Nagar Panchayat representative Kiran Yadav's husband Gorakh Yadav, threw food at the additional chief exeuctive officer.
Then he went to the stage, flung the microphone in air and slapped him.
The Additional Chief Executive Officer, K.N. Kharwar who was beaten, has ordered an inquiry into the matter and said “in a government where the officers are not safe, how can we expect the safety of common man.”
