That means it could reach Shanghai in 16 and a half minutes, Tehran in 17 minutes and Seoul in 19 minutes.

The missile's advanced equipment also gives it enhanced accuracy.

The Agni-V is expected to be operational by 2014 to 2015 after four to five repeatable tests by the DRDO.

The first test was performed On 19 April 2012 at 08.05 am by DRDO from Wheeler Island off the coast of Orissa.
