New Delhi: The Lt Governor of Delhi Najeeb Jung has ordered a judicial probe to be headed by a retired judge to go into the circumstances involving the spat between Delhi's Law Minister Somnath Bharti and an ACP of Delhi Police in south Delhi's Khirki Extension on Wednesday night.

This was decided at a tripartite meeting between the Delhi Lt Governor, the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi Police commissioner B S Bassi.

The AAP minister Somnath Bharti had gone to Khirki Extension in his Malviya Nagar constituency after getting reports of sex trade and drug trafficking by Nigerians and Ugandans in the area.

Bharti had asked an ACP to conduct raids on drug and sex traffickers, but the ACP refused citing the limits within which police works.

Kejriwal had demanded the suspension of 2 SHOs and 2 ACPs of Delhi police for what he alleged "complicity" of police officials in shielding dowry torturers, sex and drug traffickers.

At today's meeting, Kejriwal complained about the negligent attitude of Delhi Police.

He was accompanied by AAP ministers Rakhi Birla, Somnath Bharti and Manish Sisodia.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police on Friday submitted a report to Lieutenant Governor complaining about the interfering behaviour of two AAP ministers in police investigation.

Delhi Police, which functions under the Centre, does not report to the state government but reports to the Lieutenant Governor.
