New Delhi: A Delhi court today asked police to seek report of the midnight raid conducted by Delhi law minister Somanth Bharti last week at the Khirki Extension in South Delhi.
The move came after the second Ugandan woman identified Bharti as barging inside the gates of their residence in the midnight.
She has filed a plea seeking registration of FIR against the minister for misbehaving with the woman.
The incident took place on January15-16 after the refusal by police to take action.
Somnath Bharti led a mob and barged into the home of African women as they were suspected to run a drug and prostitution racket.
After one of the women identified Bharti yesterday, pressure is mounting on the law minister to resign till the probe is on.
Metropolitan Magistrate Chetna Singh asked Deputy Commissioner of Police, South, to file the report on the probe carried out by the agency in the incident of January 15-16 in which three other foreign women are also reportedly victims. “The DCP, South should file the report by January 25,” the court said.
