Allahabad, Jan 27: Several lakhs of devotees took a holy dip early this morning at the Sangam, confluence of rivers Ganga and Yamuna, on the occasion of Paush Poornima at the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela here.
Lakhs of Kalpwasis (devotees at Maha Kumbh) who spend the month of Magh each year living a minimalistic life on the holy confluence, flocked to the mela since early morning.
The Kalpwas- the period of their austerity commences today with the festival of Paush Purnima
Sadhus from various akharas joined in the Paush Poornima Snan.
