Zaki ur Rehman Lakhvi was born in 1960 at a place called Okara located in Punjab province of Pakistan. Lakhvi, is a top leader of Lashkar-e-Taiba and currently serves as Supreme Commander of operations in Kashmir and is a member of LeT's General Council.
He is listed on the NIA's most wanted list. Lakhvi, one of LeT's operations chiefs, was named as an instigator in the Mumbai attacks by the lone surviving gunman captured in India, according to Indian officials. He and Yusuf Muzammil, the head of Lashkar's anti-India operations, gave orders on telephone to the 10 militants who killed at least 171 people in the attack on Mumbai city on 26/11.
