New Delhi: Davinderpal Singh Bhullar, presently awaiting the deathman's noose is in a mental asylum in Delhi.
Bhullar is said to be an ideologue of Khalistan Liberation Force, and was held guilty by the courts for triggering a major blast outside the Indian Youth Congress office in New Delhi in 1993.
Nine policemen were killed in that blast and nearly 30 persons including the then Youth Congress chief Maninderjit Singh Bitta were injured in the blast.
A graduate in electrical engineering from Guru Nanak Engineering College, Ludhiana, Bhullar was also involved in several other bomb blats, including the attack on SSP Sumedh singh Saini in 1991. The Delhi High Court confirmed his death verdict in 2001.
