New Delhi, Apr 3: With Delhi Police sending teams to Maharashtra, Mathura, Haridwar and Bahadurgarh in search of the absconding Swami Pratimananda, named by Deepak Bhardwaj's killer Purushottam Rana as the man who gave "supari"(blood money), the spotlight has turned on who actually the swami is.
Investigators have seized Swami Pratimananda's computer, some documents and his personal articles from his room in Hindu Mahasabha Bhavan on Mandir Marg.
The articles were seized at the instance of Bhardwaj's killer Purushottam Rana, who is presently in police custody.
Rana used to stay with the swami in Hindu Mahasabha Bhavan and drive the swami's Ford Endeavour vehicle.
The other alleged killer Sunil Mann also used to revere the swami as his guru.
Chandra Prakash Kaushik, an official of Hindu Mahasabha Bhavan, told India TV about the physical appearance of Swami Pratimananda and showed the room where the swami used to stay.
Kaushik said the builder Deepak Bhardwaj used to come and meet the swami at Hindu Mahasabha Bhavan .
Aged between 36 to 40 years, Swami Pratimananda used to stay in Hindu Mahasabha Bhavan, whenever he used to visit Delhi.
He also used to stay in Swami Devendranand Ashram in Bahadurgarh, Haryana.Swami Devendranand however denies he knew the swami.
Swami Pratimananda visited the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayag recently for 2-3 days, sources said.
Swami Pratimanand has been named as the main accused in Deepak Bhardwaj's Murder case by Purushottam Rana,,one of the killers arrested by Delhi police.
He has claimed Swami Pratimanand is the man who ordered the killing of Delhi's richest politician Deepak Bhardwaj.
Swami Pratimananda was involved in some criminal activities, and there were cases registered against him. He originally hails from Maharashtra.
