On July 5, 2008 bodies of two children, Dipesh Vaghela and Abhishek Vaghela were found on the Sabarmati riverbed after they went missing. They were studying at Ashram's Gurukul at Motera.In this case CBI filed a complaint of culpable homicide and booked seven sadhaks of the ashram, though the CID found no direct evidence of such activities during their searches.
