Jaipur, Sep 29: Rajasthan Minister of State for Khadi Golma Devi has again offered to resign from Ashok Gehlot Government, this time in protest against the remarks made by state Congress chief Chandrabhan.
A Golma aide said that she met Gehlot on Wednesday and offered her resignation following objectionable remarks by the PCC chief. Golma is the wife of Meena community leader Kirori Lal Meena. Chandrabhan had recently said that Golma should quit as minister because on one hand her husband Kirori Meena, an independent MP, enjoys facilities provided to her and on the other he criticises the state government.
However, there was no official word on resignation by Golma, who is an independent legislator from Todabhim assembly constituency in Dausa. In April 2009 also, Golma had tendered resignation claiming that her husband, who is a rebel BJP leader, was “time and again insulted and humiliated by Congress leaders”.PTI
