Farukkhabad: Members of a right-wing group today waved black flags and shouted slogans during a function attended by Union Minister Salman Khurshid here, police said. Minister for External Affairs and Farukkhabad MP, Khurshid was distributing solar lamps to students at a function organized by the Zakir Hussain Trust here when a group of Hindu Jagran Manch activists began shouting slogans and waved black flags at him, they said.
The activists, however, alleged that they were assaulted by Congress supporters at the venue.
A complaint against the Hindu Jagran Manch activists has been lodged and the outfit's city president R D Mishra has been arrested, police said.
