Srinagar: A 15 day yoga camp for girls has been organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Yoga Federation in collaboration with the State Sports Council at the city's indoor stadium.
The camp saw the participation of more than 35 young girls between the age of 8 and 13 years.
The camp began on November 16.
“We are holding this special yoga camp for 15 days for children. Our department of J&K (Jammu and Kashmir) has organised it. There are 35 and more girls from different schools and colleges who are participating in the camp. Today we are holding separate classes for girls. Last year also we organised the camp. This year we have specially organised separately for the girls” said Shabir Dar, the organizer of the camp.
The camp has been organized to promote fitness and well being among girls who are affected by mental trauma of the disturbed valley.
