Srinagar, Nov 9: Wildlife staff in south Kashmir's Baramulla on Tuesday rescued two bears who had gone up a 30-feet high tree by carrying out an operation.

The wildlife staff first spread  a large net around the tree to save the bears from falling to the ground.

Two employes climbed up the tree carrying a tranquilizer gun.

They fired tranquilizer shots at the two bears, and the two animals fell on the net.

One of the bears managed to wake up and began taking some faltering steps, before he was grabbed by a local youth.

The two bears were later taken to a forest and released.

There has been several instances of bears coming out of the wild in south Kashmir during the last ten days. Local villagers have beaten to death  four bears so far, but these two bears appeared to be lucky.
