New Delhi: Ever since the partition of 1947, India and Pakistan both have been in a state of war for undertaking the administration of Kashmir.
However, 1999 Kargil war is the only instance of direct, conventional warfare between the nuclear states.
In this war, India lost its true hero, son of mother land – Captain Vikaram Batra, who fought till his very last breathe and completed the “Operation Vijay”. He was nicknamed Sher Shah (‘Lion King') for his unstinting courage.
