Giridih (Jharkhand): Three Maoists were killed and two seriously injured in an encounter with security forces in Daldalia forests of Giridih district.
Getting a tip-off that the rebels had gathered in the jungles, the personnel of CRPF and district police surrounded the area late on Friday night, Superintendent of Police Kranti Kumar said.
The Maoists opened fired at the police and in the retaliatory action three Maoists were killed and two others were seriously wounded, the SP said.
Three weapons, including an SLR, were recovered from the spot, he added.
