New Delhi: Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe today sent his condolences to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the loss of life and property due to floods in Jammu and Kashmir and offered assistance to the affected ones.
“Japan was deeply saddened to learn that the massive flooding caused by the heavy rain has left extensive damages of lives and properties in northern India. “It expresses its heartfelt condolences to the victims of their bereaved families.
Japan is prepared, if it is requested, to extend expeditiously necessary assistance for those who are affected,” a Japanese Embassy statement said.
The statement said condolence messages were sent today from Abe to Modi and from Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.
