Jammu, May 18: In a curious case of Munnabhai-type scam, a prisoner of Jammu district jail sat for the MA Social Science exam of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) on behalf of jailor Rajni Sehgal last year, according to allegations made by a prisoner Ravinder Singh.

Rajni Sehgal, jailor of Kot Bhalwal jail, is now under suspension after the fatal attack on Pakistani prisoner Sanaullah.

IGNOU has a centre in Jammu district jail located in Ambphalla, and the jailor used to be Vinod Kumar, who retired this year on March 31 from Udhampur jail.

According to the prisoner Ravinder Singh, an inmate Paramjit Singh Salathia sat for the exam on behalf of jailor Rajni Sehgal in connivance with jailor Vinod Kumar.

Ravinder Singh alleged that Paramjit was being given extra facilities for helping out the jailor, while he had to undergo punishment. Ravinder Singh approached the local court and lodged a complaint.
