Shivpuri, MP, Aug 11: Nearly 45 passengers had a close shave with death on Friday when a sudden flood of water in a tributary of river Mahuar swept their bus.
Sources said, the driver of the bus was initially reluctant to take the bus through the shallow rivulet, but after passengers egged him on, he drove through the rivulet.
Suddenly, there was a flood in the rivulet, and the bus engine stopped working.
The 45 passengers managed to sit on the roof of the bus, and sent SOS to the district administration on their cellphones.
Later, ITBP and CRPF jawans reached the spot and rescued all the passengers.
