Indore, April 5 : In a spine-chilling incident, a 12-year-old boy Arvind hanged himself to death in his house in Chandan Nagar locality here on Thursday.
The boy's parents had gone out for work. Arvind was with his younger brother Sunil at home, and they were watching TV.
Suddenly, Arvind told his younger brother that he would show him how to hang oneself to death. He want up near an awning below the ceiling, and made a noose out of a rope.
Arvind then put the noose round his neck and jumped, said Sunil.
By the time the younger brother to react, Arvind's lifeless body was already hanging by the rope.
Sunil rushed out and informed neighbours and his sister. Arvind was brought down and rushed to hospital, where he was declared dead.
Police have sent the body for post mortem and the matter is being investigated, said Hiralal singh Baghel, investigating officer.
The incident several issues pertaining to telecast of programmes on television which unduly affect the minds of teenagers.
