New Delhi: India will follow with “laser-like precision” the developments in Indian author Sushmita Banerjee murder case after it has emerged that the plot to kill her was hatched in Pakistan, which it termed as “disturbing”.
“Governor of Paktika province has indicated to our Ambassador that those who are involved in this, based on the arrests made, seems to be Pakistan Taliban. The indication was that they were based from the areas beyond Afghanistan, now this is extremely disturbing for us....
“We will follow this case with laser-like precision because this is something extremely disturbing,” the Spokesperson in the External Affairs Ministry said here.
He said India has full faith in the Afghan investigation agencies and they have informed that so far 6-7 people have been arrested in the case.
