1. Somnath Temple (Gujarat)

 Located in Saurashtra, Somnath (The Protector of the Moon God) is considered to be the first of the 12 Jyotirlingas. It is the holiest of all the Jyotirlingas and is considered as the prime abode of Lord Shiva. The Somnath Temple is known as "the Shrine Eternal", having been destroyed many times by various kings and rulers.
